Microbial and Mammalian Sampling
FISP® probes can be used for the multiple daily samples, normally required in
a fermentation process, or the once a day sample usually needed for a mammalian
culture process. In mammalian cell culture operating in perfusion, an analysis
of glucose or glutamine as well as lactate and ammonia levels provides the only
means of information for adjusting the perfusion rate, and for example,
determining the optimum point for infection and harvesting.
The following information has been generated by end users that have utilized
the FISP® sampling probe for a minimum of one year. The majority of these
results are from processes that have been in place for 2 or more years. Several
of the following have gone through GMP validation.
